Hauntings
Bärenzwinger is a place where history is not confined to the past, but continues to shape the present. Under the annual theme HEIMSUCHUNGEN / HAUNTINGS, artistic positions come together to engage with absence, memory, and transformation. How do traces of history appear in spaces, bodies, and narratives? And how can these traces be carried into new contexts and relations?
Through EXHIBITION, artistic RESEARCH, and artistic PROGRAM, a shared dramaturgy gradually emerges over time: Bärenzwinger transforms into a site that remembers, shifts, and continuously reconsiders itself.
The exhibition is curated by Janine Pauleck, Tina Quednau, and Annika Reketat
The artistic research project is curated by Alin Daghestani and Hannah von der Est
The artistic program is curated by Luise Haubenreiser, Philipp Hennch, Pauline Kling, Kaya Peters, Nicola Reißer, Niva Sann and Josephine Steffens
