Open Heritage Day
Uhrzeit: 12:00 – 13:00 Uhr
Eintritt frei
As part of Open Heritage Day, we invite you to join Alice Lorenzon on a guided tour focusing on the history of the historic site in Köllnischer Park. For almost 80 years, the Bärenzwinger, which opened in 1939, was home to several generations of the so-called “Berlin City Bears”. Until the death of Schnute, in 2015, the bears were a defining feature of the cityscape. Today, the Bärenzwinger is a heritage site and is used as a space for exhibitions and events. In the tour visitors have the opportunity to learn more about the site’s eventful history and its current use as a venue for contemporary art.
